We are not responsible for the conduct, work quality, reliability, or any dispute between barbers and shop owners — including pay, hours, work performed, or any agreement made between users.

Any agreement or transaction between users is strictly between them — Ustad is not a party to it and accepts no liability for it.

You are responsible for verifying anyone you interact with before entering into any work or business arrangement.

Ustad may introduce new fees, change which features are free or paid, and change subscription prices over time (e.g. increasing a fee from £1/month to a higher amount), with reasonable notice given before changes apply to you.

USTAD — TERMS & CONDITIONS Last updated: 21 June 2026 Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the Ustad app ("Ustad", "the App", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using Ustad in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App. 1. What Ustad Is Ustad is a UK-based community platform that connects Kurdish barbers and barbershop owners in the UK. We provide tools such as: - A community feed for posts, jobs, and listings - A directory to help barbers and shop owners find and contact each other - A loyalty card and booking system for participating shop owners Ustad is a platform only. We do not employ, manage, supervise, train, vet, verify the qualifications of, or control any barber, shop owner, or other user. We are not a barbershop, an employment agency, or a recruitment business, and we do not arrange, broker, or guarantee any work, contract, or business relationship between users. 2. No Responsibility for User Conduct or Outcomes You acknowledge and agree that: - Any agreement, employment, work arrangement, booking, sale, purchase, or other transaction made between users of Ustad is strictly between those users. Ustad is not a party to it. - We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the conduct, behaviour, skill, qualifications, reliability, honesty, or actions of any user, whether online or in person. - We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or truthfulness of any post, profile, review, or message shared by users on the App. - We are not responsible for the quality of any haircut, service, or work performed by any barber, nor for any dispute, dissatisfaction, financial loss, property damage, personal injury, or other harm arising from interactions, services, or agreements between users. - We are not responsible for any dispute between a barber and a shop owner, including but not limited to disputes over pay, hours, working conditions, termination, conduct, or any other employment- or business-related matter. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ustad excludes all liability for any loss, damage, dispute, or claim arising from interactions, transactions, or relationships between users, whether such interactions take place on the App or in person. 3. User Responsibility By using Ustad, you agree that: - You are solely responsible for verifying the identity, qualifications, intentions, and suitability of anyone you interact with through the App before entering into any work, business, or financial arrangement with them. - You use your own judgement and conduct your own due diligence (e.g. checking references, qualifications, right to work, business registration) before agreeing to any arrangement. - Any payment, contract, or agreement you enter into with another user is made directly with that user, at your own risk. - You are responsible for complying with all applicable UK laws relevant to your use of the App, including employment law, health and safety, and consumer protection law, where relevant to your activities. 4. No Employment Relationship Nothing on Ustad creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship between Ustad and any user, or between any two users, by virtue of using the App. Any employment or working relationship formed between a barber and a shop owner exists solely between those two parties. 5. Payments Where Ustad facilitates payments (e.g. shop listing fees, subscription fees) via third-party processors such as Stripe, these payments relate only to the use of Ustad's own features (such as listing a shop for sale or subscribing to shop owner tools). Ustad does not process, hold, or guarantee any payment made directly between users for services, wages, or goods exchanged between them. 6. Changes to Pricing and Features Ustad is a growing platform and the features we offer, and the way we charge for them, may change over time. You acknowledge and agree that: - We may introduce new paid features, change which features are free or paid, or change which user types (e.g. barbers, shop owners) are required to pay, at our discretion. - We may increase, decrease, or otherwise change subscription prices and fees from time to time (for example, increasing a shop owner subscription from £1/month to a higher amount). - Where a price change affects an existing subscription, we will give reasonable notice before the new price takes effect. Continuing to use the relevant feature or subscription after that notice constitutes your acceptance of the new price. - If you do not agree to a price change, your only remedy is to cancel the relevant subscription or stop using the affected feature before the new price takes effect. - Acceptance of these Terms includes acceptance of this right for Ustad to introduce, change, or increase fees and charges in the future, in addition to any specific notice given for individual price changes. 7. Content and Conduct You agree not to post false, misleading, defamatory, abusive, or illegal content. We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to remove any content or suspend or terminate any account that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the community, at our sole discretion. 8. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law: - Ustad is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. - We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. - We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profit, revenue, business, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App or any interaction with another user. - Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to Ustad in the 3 months preceding the claim (or £50 if you have paid nothing). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law. 9. Indemnity You agree to indemnify and hold Ustad harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your interactions with other users, or your breach of these Terms. 10. Account Suspension & Termination We may suspend or terminate your access to Ustad at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or acted in a way that is harmful to other users or the platform. 11. Changes to These Terms We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. 12. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. 13.
